U.S. News & World Report Ranks
Millersville University Among Best in Nation
In a recent survey conducted by U.S. News & World Report,
Millersville University was again named one of the best universities in
the nation. In a new categorization, Universities-Master’s, Millersville
was ranked 31st out of a total of 167 public and private institutions in
the North, one of four regions into which the publication places schools.
The new category represents institutions that offer both a full range of
undergraduate degrees and some master’s degrees, but few, if any, doctoral
programs. Other schools ranked in the North include Villanova University,
the Rochester Institute of Technology, the University of Scranton, and St.
Joseph’s University.
The rankings are based on academic reputation, retention of students,
faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources, and alumni
giving.
The survey is featured in the magazine’s September 17 issue.
