Fine Dining Merges with Fine
Music
Scott’s Grille, Harrisburg
August 18
For
a great meal and great music, head to Scott’s Grille on August 18. The
first collaboration of its kind in the area, the evening will mark the
pairing of Scott’s new menu and the music of The Harrisburg Players’
Collective, a local sting quartet. Headed by founder Joel Lambdin, the
Collective will feature the talent of renowned performers Odin Rathnam,
Joseph Esmilla, and Jennifer DeVore. The quartet will be performing
Brahm’s “String Quartet in A Minor,” Mozart’s “Dissonant” K.465 and
Schubert’s “Quartettsatz.”
“The idea of being able to go out to dinner, relax with some fine food and
possibly a glass of wine, then enjoying a concert without leaving my chair
sounds enticing to me personally,” said Tom Scott, owner of Scott’s
Grille. “When Joel Lambdin approached me with this concept I knew my
restaurant was a natural venue.”
“I would like to expose as many people as possible, audiences of all ages
and sophistication, to the kind of music we play by bringing it to them on
their own ‘turf’ or comfort level,” said Lambdin. “By selecting Scott’s
Grille as the first venture, diners will participate in a listening
experience where it is not just the music that is important, but the
caliber of the musician as well. As modesty permits, HPC has the top
caliber of performers. For instance, Jennifer Devore has just returned
from performing at the Spoletto Festival in Italy.”
The evening’s performance will kick off the Quartet’s Summer Tour, which
will take the group throughout New England and Bar Harbor, Maine.
The event will take place August 18, with dinner at 5 p.m., followed by
music at 8 p.m. Reservations are required and can be made by calling
234-7599. Scott’s Grille is located at 212 Locust Street, Harrisburg.
