Live Music: Adam Brodsky with Case 150
Pete’s Café, New Cumberland
April 14"

Adam Brodsky and Case 150 will be live on stage at Pete’s Café in New Cumberland on April 14. Recently named Best Folk Performer in the Philadelphia City Paper, Adam Brodsky is a singer/songwriter best known for his “outrageous style, clever wordplay, and gift for performance.” He recently released his debut album, Folk Remedy, which earned rave reviews from a number of sources, including the Washington Post who said, “[Brodsky’s] in your face songsmithing has more in common with Woody Guthrie than most of those saccharine-sweet new-folkies.”

Called anything from roots-rock to Alternative Country, local band Case 150 is the perfect compliment to Adam Brodsky. Founded almost four years ago by Thom Bissey (guiar/mandolin/bass), Case 150 moved through a number of changes before deciding upon their current line-up, an electric quartet comprised of Bissey, guitarist Bryce “Grizz” Flurrie, drummer Bill Manlove, and bassist/guitarist Ed Yashinsky.

Citing such influences as The Band, Gram Parsons, and R.E.M., Case 150 “weaves traditional country with distortion-soaked rock and blues to creating a sonic resonance that lacks easy description.” A full-length debut album is slated for release in fall of this year.

Adam Brodsky and Case 150 will be at Pete’s in New Cumberland on April 14. Brodsky will kick things off at 10 p.m.
