Concert: Orgy
Chameleon Club, Lancaster
November 24
Hot on the heels of their latest release, national recording artists Orgy will be at the Chameleon Club in Lancaster on November 24.

Formed in 1997, Orgy — vocalist Jay Gordon, guitarist Ryan Shuck, guitar synthesist Amir Derakh, bassist Paige Haley, and drummer Bobby Hewitt —came into the spotlight in 1998 with the release of their debut album, Candyass.

And now, two years later, the band has released their sophomore effort, Vapor Transmission. The "first album of the year 2000 that truly sounds like it was made in and for a new era," the album is a step in a different direction from the band’s self-described "death pop" sound — though never straying too far from the mix of electronic, alternative metal, and industrial sounds that made the band famous.

With the first single from Vapor Transmission, "Fiction (Dreams in Digital)," receiving airplay, a night with Orgy may be the best way to keep the fun of Thanksgiving weekend going strong.

Orgy will be at the Chameleon Club in Lancaster on Friday, November 24 at 7 p.m. Advance tickets are $15. Call 393-7133 for more information. The Chameleon Club is located at 223 North Water Street, Lancaster.
