Chuck Mangione In Concert
April 18
Whitaker Center

The Feeling’s Back! On April 18, Chuck Mangione will take Whitaker Center’s Sunoco Performance Theater’s stage for an evening of great jazz and good fun. Known for his enthusiastic and uplifting sound and demeanor, Mangione has fashioned himself a career spanning three decades, recoding twenty-plus albums and creating a style uniquely his own.

After a successful decade in the 1980s — including winning two Grammy Awards, recording numerous albums, and hosting a 8-hour concert with jazz greats Dizzy Gillespie and Chick Corea — Mangione took a self-imposed three-year exile from the music world, returning in 1997 to reunite with the band that joined him on his 1977 hit album Feels So Good. As a result of that success, Mangione has since recorded 1999’s The Feeling’s Back and is ready to continue making his mark on an industry that he helped create.

Chuck Mangione will be at the Sunoco Performance Theatre on April 18 at 8 p.m. For ticket information, call THE BOX at 214-ARTS.
