Susquehanna Chorale: "Forever Let My Spirit Sing"
Whitaker Center
November 14

The ChorusThere isn’t much that compares to the sound of young voices filling the air … that is, unless those young voices are joined with the harmonies of the 35 adult members of the Susquehanna Chorale — which will be exactly the case when the two groups join together for their Annual Youth Chorale Festival.

On November 14, over 100 young people will take the stage in the new Sunoco Performance Theater to perform a concert designed to please the entire family — featuring songs of faith, folk songs, and songs that convey the impact of war.

This multigenerational concert will feature 22 selections from around the world, including the show opener "I’ll Praise My Maker" and the final number, "The Awakening," from whose lyrics the program’s title, "Forever Let My Spirit Sing" is derived.

The Youth and Children’s Chorales comprise the Susquehanna Chorale’s one of a kind educational outreach program for students. The Susquehanna Chorale began its educational outreach program for local youths in 1998 and added the Children’s Chorale in 1992.

The Susquehanna Chorale’s annual Youth Chorale Festival on November 14 will begin at 4pm. Don’t miss the opportunity to hear over 135 voices at the Susquehanna Chorale’s premiere performance at the Whitaker Center. It’s guaranteed to be an event to remember!
