The Nields and Jump, Little Children at The Wire
The Nields and Jump Little Children may not be household names yet, but don’t be surprised if they quickly outgrow the confines of New Cumberland’s The Wire in the next year or so. The Nields, a New England quintet that has been tearing up the coffeehouse and folk festival circuit for several years, have been regular Wire performers since a local fan convinced them to come check out the intimate coffeehouse. On the heals of the major-label release, Gotta Get Over Greta, The Nields return to The Wire on Saturday, November 15, to deliver their angelic harmonies, touching stories and intricate music that must be seen to be appreciated. A special opening set by Georgia’s Jump, Little Children makes this a truly special show. Catch these rising stars while you can. Showtime is 8 p.m. Call The Wire at 774-0678 for more information.

Dec. 6
June Rich at The Wire
Being fronted by two female singers with incredible harmonies will always lead to Indigo Girls comparisons, but the talent in June Rich hardly stops with the vocals. This Philadelphia-based quintet combine confessional-type lyric with a tight, electric blues sounds that never disappoints. Lead singers Jackie Murphy and Vanida Gail are mesmerizing, but bassist Gary Lee, guitarist Allen James and drummer Kevin Sofferra provide the drive that keeps this band interesting. Showtime is 8 p.m. Call The Wire at 774-0678 for more information.
