Ron Buxton presented the Mayor with a $45,000 grant from the Department of Community and Economic Development for use in the citys Midtown Market District (MMD) project area. Reed said the grant includes $30,000 toward the Midtown Market District program, which seeks to place new businesses in the corridor, produce special events and promotions, improve safety and codes compliance, and undertake beautification projects, with another $15,000 earmarked for the Districts new Facade Grant Program.
