Cellular One
On Thursday, October 31 at 2:00pm Cellular One Debuted their National Communities on Phone Patrol Mascot at the Capitol. The first public appearance COPP. The Communities on Phone Patrol Mascot. His motto is "Call Against Crime," and on Halloween, he began his crusade to support volunteerism for neighborhood crime watch programs throughout the nation. The goal of the Community on Phone Patrol program is to mobilize one million citizen volunteers for crime watch groups across the country by offering the groups free use of cellular phones and free air-time. American Lung Association of Pennsylvania
The American Lung Association of Pennsylvania will host the 1996 Art Auction on Thursday, November 7th in the Richards Hall Gallery at Dixon University. The live auction will feature works from over 20 local artists offering a wide variety of styles and mediums, including poetry, photography, and jewelry. In addition, several limited addition prints from nationally owned artists will be auctioned. The auction will begin at 6:30pm with a preview and refreshments with bidding beginning at 7:30pm. Academy of Medical Arts and Business
November is Health Massage Month at the Academy of Medical Arts and Business. As a community service The Academy is offering therapeutic massages at no cost to local residents. Messages are available Monday through Thursday from 3:30pm to 9:30pm and Saturdays from 10:00am to 2:00pm. If you are interested in receiving a FREE therapudic massage, you must call the Academy at 233-2172 to reserve an appointment. The Academy of Medical Arts and Business is located at 279 Boas Street (Corner 3rd St.) in downtown Harrisburg.

Shipoke to be featured on Historic Harrisburg’s 23rd Annual Candlelight House Tour.
Historic Harrisburg’s 23rd annual Candlelight House Tour, one of the oldest and largest house tours in the Mid-Atlantic Region, will be presented Sunday, December 8, 1996, 1pm to 7pm. Also included in the tour, will be the Pennsylvania Governor’s Residence, Camp Curtin Memorial-Mitchel United Methodist Church, and several quaint 3rd Street shops and businesses. The Camp Curtin Church is a noteworthy Civil War memorial, with artifacts from the areas stint as the nations largest Civil War Camp. The 3rd Street retail corridor is currently the focus of an urban "Main Street" renaissance. For more information call 233-4646.
